Long, long ago, in Dreamtime Kookaburra hosted a talent show. Galah, Cockatoo, Emu, Kangaroo and Koala entered the Talent Show. Kookaburra was so happy that they entered.

Galah flew up and up and up and up but she lost control and she fell to the ground and landed on her back. Kookaburra laughed and laughed about this accident.

So Cockatoo flew though the twittiest tree in the bush but got stuck and she couldn’t get out the way she came in. Kookaburra laughed and laughed.

It was Emus turn to do his talent and she ran and ran but she ran to far. Emu was a forgetful creature and she forgot to run back. Of course Kookaburra laughed.   Kangaroo thought that Kookaburra wouldn’t laugh at her talent. So Kangaroo jumped as she could but got stuck in a tree. Kookaburra laughed his head off.

So koala thought her steadiness was good enough to win. While she was climbing she fell asleep. So kookaburra laughed and laughed. So that was in Dreamtime and it is why kookaburras laugh.
